The first thing you need to do is to keep your area rugs dry and moth free always. Never store a damp rug rolled up or in an area it will be exposed to the elements unless it is made specific for the outdoors. You have to rotate the area rug often. This will lessen the wear in high traffic areas. It will also reduce the effects of UV sun rays (fading). Vacuum is required with the nap of the rugs, never against it. For best results use either a low-suction vacuum or a stiff broom to sweep the rug of debris and dirt. You can also simply shake them to fall the dirt away.

Whatever your flooring is, you should add a rug or two. With all the practical reasons and decorative styles available, area rugs are a floor covering your home, office or outside living space could use. Cover your whole floor or just a small section with a new rug today.
